Lom Harsh Appointed Youth Ambassador for Peace at the Parliament of India
Universal Peace Federation & United Nations Honor Filmmaker's Humanitarian Short Cinema
NEW DELHI — At the national parliamentary complex, filmmaker Lom Harsh was officially bestowed with the title of 'Youth Ambassador for Peace' by the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) in association with United Nations civil society chapters, presented by Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju.
The honor recognized Harsh's pioneering short films 'Chicken Biryani' and 'Chicken Biryani 2', which highlighted the mutual humanity of soldiers stationed along international borders.
'Art is humanity's highest diplomatic tool,' Harsh reflected. 'When people sit in a darkened cinema hall, flags and prejudices disappear. That is the peace we must strive to build every day.'
